- Preheat oven to 350f.
- To make sour milk in a measuring cup add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice OR vinegar. Add your milk, taking it to the 1 cup line. Let stand 5 minutes. *this is critical or your cake will not rise properly, as we are developing a chemical reaction to make the cake rise.
- In a bowl, mix flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter, making a crumb like mixture.
